George Zavros MD

George Zavros graduated as Doctor of Medicine with summa cum laude (the highest distinction) from the Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. He Completed his training in Internal Medicine at the Englewood Hospital, a pivotal affiliate institution of the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, US. He holds a fellowship in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism from the University Of Florida, where he had the privilege to work closely with Dr. Ernest L. Mazzaferri Sr., one of the world’s leading references in the field of Thyroid Cancer.

Since 2006 Dr. Zavros has chosen to put his international experience in medicine to the service of his country, Cyprus, where he leads a successful private practice based in Limassol. He is an Associate Professor at the Medical School of the University of Nicosia and a visiting specialist at Evangelismos Hospital in Paphos.
